Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using License Vault. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
Permitted Use
License Vault is designed to help individuals and teams manage software licenses. Permitted uses include storing, organising, and retrieving software license keys and related information that you are legally entitled to hold; inviting team members to collaborate on shared license libraries; using the API to integrate License Vault with your own internal tools and workflows; and exporting and importing your own license data for backups and migrations.
Prohibited Activities
Illegal or Harmful Activity
You must not use License Vault to engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law; store, distribute, or assist in distributing counterfeit or fraudulent license keys; use the Service to circumvent copy protection, DRM systems, or software activation mechanisms; or facilitate software piracy or the unauthorised use of third-party software.
Security and Abuse
You must not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or networks; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or the accounts of other users; introduce any virus, trojan, worm, or malicious code; use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure; or conduct denial-of-service attacks against the Service or third parties.
Account and Identity
You must not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, suspensions, or restrictions; impersonate another person or organisation; misrepresent your affiliation with a person or organisation; or share login credentials with individuals outside your licensed team.
Disruptive Behaviour
You must not use the Service in a way that degrades its availability or performance for other users; attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; or resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent.
Data Responsibilities
You are responsible for all data you upload, store, or transmit through License Vault. You must ensure you have the legal right to store and share the license keys and files you upload, and that your data complies with applicable data protection regulations.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations. If a violation is confirmed, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend access, permanently terminate your account, or report the activity to law enforcement. We will preserve relevant records in connection with any law enforcement investigation.

Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
